Annual Report reviews strong year for First Super

First Super has released its 2017/18 Annual Report. The publication marks 10 years since the Furniture Industry Retirement Superannuation Trust, the Pulp & Paper Workers’ Superannuation Fund and the Timber Industry Super Scheme merged in July 2008 to become First Super.

Inside this year’s report, you’ll find highlights of the year, an overview of who is taking care of the Fund, details about our strong investment returns, and our operational and other activities for the 2017/18 financial year.

Teams

In addition, for the first time you will find a series of features about the teams within First Super and their work to take care of members and employers. This includes case studies on our Superannuation Coordinators and Business Development Managers. They visit workplaces to deliver education sessions and provide general advice, as well as supporting employers to offer a personalised service to their staff.

To show that “Putting members first” is at the heart of our operations, the report features photos of current First Super members at First Super employer sites demonstrating the Industry Super Funds “in safe hands” symbol.
