Annual Report reviews strong year for First Super

First Super has just released its 2017/18 Annual Report. The publication marks 10 years since the Furniture Industry Retirement Superannuation Trust, the Pulp & Paper Workers’ Superannuation Fund and the Timber Industry Super Scheme merged in July 2008 to become First Super.

Inside this year’s report, you’ll find highlights of the year, an overview of who is taking care of your Fund, details about our strong investment returns, and our other operational and other activities for the 2017/18 financial year.

In addition, for the first time you will find a series of features about the teams within First Super and their work to take care of members. This includes insights into the Service Centre Team, the Financial Advice & Planning Team, the Superannuation Coordinators, the Business Development Managers, and our retirement and pensions support.

To show that “Putting members first” is at the heart of our operations, the report features photos of current First Super members demonstrating the Industry Super Funds “in safe hands” symbol.
